Dr Bronwyn Hajek is a Senior Lecturer in the School of ITMS and a researcher within the Phenomics and Bioinformatics Research Centre.
Bronwyn’s research interests lie in developing and solving mathematical models using nonlinear partial differential equations. She is motivated by many areas of application, including biological invasions, cell biology, viscous flow, and physical chemistry. She is also has a particular focus on the application of Lie symmetry techniques to nonlinear reaction diffusionequations.
Bronwyn is an enthusiastic teacher of mathematics, with a focus on first year engineering mathematics. She aims to show engineering students that maths is actually useful and can also be fun and interesting!
