About me
Caroline has tutored in Career Development for Professionals, as an online tutor and a face to face class tutor. Currently a tutor in Critical Approaches to Online Learning. Roles have included secondary teaching (English and French),adult ESL and literacy teaching, working on the government's myfuture national career website, post-graduate assessor at Edith Cowan University, coordinating an education and employment program for homeless women, project work with retraining injured workers, content writing, and presenting training sessions to schools and careers services groups. In private practice, she enjoyed counselling a diverse client base seeking direction, transition, self-marketing or job application support. She has worked as a face to face tutor at UniSA in Career Development for Professionals since 2017 and looks forward to helping students in the online course.
Qualifications include a Masters in Career Development, post-graduate diploma in Education and a Bachelor of Arts majoring in English and French. Early in her teaching career, she spent a year teaching in a French high school in Normandy, the home of camembert and apple cider, and a short train trip away from Paris.
She lives in a very vibrant coastal community on the Fleurieu peninsula and enjoy the outdoor and cultural activities that flourish there, including music and the local agricultural show.
From a Welsh/Italian background, it is not surprising that she has a strong interest in languages and anything to do with words. She considers herself a lifelong learner whether it is technology use or languages. Learning Welsh has been her biggest and most fascinating learning challenge.
What she most enjoys about work is the opportunity to encourage and support others to learn, especially in the professionsal development area.
