Danielle is a Research Assistant working within the Australian Centre for Child Protection, University of South Australia, where she plays a vital role in supporting the South Australian Child Protection Expert Group focused on transforming the South Australian Child Protection System.
Danielle's professional journey is rooted in over a decade of hands-on experience to enhance the health and well-being of children and young people throughout Australia. She began by supporting children and young people in out-of-home care before transitioning into youth justice, where she developed extensive knowledge and understanding of the criminal justice system.
In 2019, Danielle embarked on an academic path driven by her vision and commitment to adopting a population health approach to child protection. Throughout this period, Danielle has showcased her expertise in conducting ethical and purposeful consultation processes, engaging diverse groups of people, including those with lived experience of sexual violence. Additionally, she has demonstrated her abilities in supporting large-scale project management endeavors while adeptly managing concurrent projects.
In addition to her work at ACCP, Danielle works as a consultant for the World Bank, where she facilitates the measurement of secondary grade teaching practices for monitoring, surveillance and program evaluation.
