I received the Diploma in Industrial Electronics from UniSA in 2000, and the B.Eng degree in Electronics and Micro-Engineering (first class honours) in 2003. Since February 2016 I have been teaching in enabling programs on the Whyalla Campus.
Drive and a growth mindset are vital in a university student. Arriving in a new learning environment where the emphasis has shifted away from having knowledge delivered, and towards the need to gather much of the knowledge themselves, can stifle a student’s progress if they lack those qualities. Although they cannot be installed into a person, I do provide conditions where the qualities of drive and a growth mindset are likely to develop and flourish.
