David Gordon is an experienced industrial designer working as Senior Technician in UniSA Creative.
He works across and develops busy, well-equipped workspaces that cater for a broad range of students and their design projects. David has input into the guidance and teaching of students as they build their material and process knowledge and hands-on making skills. David has a passion for helping students and staff realise their design ideas in physical form, and enjoys the challenge in model-making, prototyping and design/construct projects.

About me
David Gordon is an experienced industrial designer working as Senior Technician in UniSA Creative.
He works across and develops busy, well-equipped workspaces that cater for a broad range of students and their design projects. David has input into the guidance and teaching of students as they build their material and process knowledge and hands-on making skills. David has a passion for helping students and staff realise their design ideas in physical form, and enjoys the challenge in model-making, prototyping and design/construct projects.
Currently, David is involved in developing the capabilities of the Design Construct Workshop facilities in TF Building at UniSA’s Mawson Lakes Campus. He has enjoyed the challenges around meeting bespoke design, fitment and finish requirements and has been involved in the pre-assembly of structural building elements and preparation for transportation of building modules for these projects.
David also manages strategic development projects across UniSA Creative’s studio and workshop spaces at City West where facilities require repurposing, enhancement and improvement.

Provide students/staff with specialist digital workshop services including CNC machining, waterjet cutting, laser cutting, 3D printing (rapid prototyping), large format digital plan/roll printing.
