Hanna Tervonen is an Adjunct Research Fellow at the School of Health Sciences and currently working as an epidemiologist at the Cancer Institute NSW. Hanna worked as a post-doctoral researcher in the Cancer Epidemiology and Population Health Research Group at the University of South Australia between 2014 and 2016.
Hanna has a background in pharmaceutical sciences and public health. She holds a Doctoral degree in pharmacy (University of Eastern Finland, 2014), Master’s degrees in public health (University of Eastern Finland, 2014) and pharmacy (University of Kuopio, 2009) and a Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy (University of Kuopio, 2007).

Hanna is regularly peer-reviewing articles for several international scientific journals.
Since 2009, Hanna has given more than 20 invited talks/ conference presentations in international and national congresses.
Hanna was a member/ substitute member of the School Research Management Committee (School of Health Sciences) in 2015-2016.
Hanna has experience teaching public health, epidemiology, research skills, biostatistics and pharmacology in Australia and Finland (lecturing, tutoring and marking).
