As the manager of the Corporate Information Systems team, I am responsible for overseeing the delivery of business services that support the University’s key operational areas.
In my role, I am responsible for:
- Leading and managing a team of skilled software developers, system administrators, and integrators.
- Collaborating with key business units to gather requirements, design, develop, test, and support software applications for Staff in the organisation.
- Ensuring the monitoring and high availability of the University’s corporate systems.
- Assess the organisation's requirements for potential new software and applications within the University environment for upcoming projects.
- Ensuring systems comply with accessibility and usability standards.
- Contributing to the planning and budgeting of key software services.
- Providing input into strategic planning and governance structures.
- At times managing projects of varying sizes, from small to large.
- Managing relationships with external vendors as needed
The Corporate Information Systems team is responsible for designing, developing, and providing long-term support for critical software and services that underpin the University’s corporate systems and business operations, including:
- Human Resource Systems: managing employee information storage, access, and processing.
- Finance Systems: facilitating the University’s invoicing, payroll, and payment processes.
- Business Intelligence Systems: reporting and analytics, supporting the University’s ability to track and plan key strategic areas.
- Business Process Management platform: streamlining University processes with online forms and workflows, integrated with various applications.
- Corporate Website and other UniSA-affiliated websites.
- Staff Portal, providing personal information, integrated data, and links to staff systems.
- Building Access and Management solution: controlling and monitoring access to various University campuses and sites.
- University-wide search functionality, enabling staff, students, and the public to access University resources.
- Staff Lifecycle System: handling the creation and maintenance of UniSA staff accounts and group access.
- Occupational Health and Safety solution: allowing for the reporting and tracking of WHS risks, issues, and incidents.
- Digital Asset Management repository, offering staff access to UniSA-owned photos and videos.
- And other many small systems that support business units across UniSA
