Jeffrey leads the Hardware Engineering function at Lockheed Martin Australia and has been active in building relationships between UniSA and LMA as a member of the UniSA STEM Program Advisory Board, the LMA UniSA Steering Committee and as a LMA sponsor and supervisor of UniSA final year student projects. In an Engineering career spanning over 30 years, he first worked as a RF Communications engineer in Professor Michael Miller's Digital Communications Group which later became the Institute for Telecommunications Research, on several Satellite Communications and Terrestrial Microwave communications programs. Jeffrey leads the Hardware Engineering function at Lockheed Martin Australia and has been active in building relationships between UniSA and LMA as a member of the UniSA STEM Program Advisory Board, the LMA UniSA Steering Committee and as a LMA sponsor and supervisor of UniSA final year student projects. In an Engineering career spanning over 30 years, he first worked as a RF Communications engineer in Professor Michael Miller's Digital Communications Group which later became the Institute for Telecommunications Research, on several Satellite Communications and Terrestrial Microwave communications programs. During this time he also attained a Master's degree and a PhD. A five year stint working in Cambridge UK followed for design services company Cadence Design Systems, and Fabless Semiconductor company, SiGe Semiconductor. During this time he contributed RF/RFIC/Microwave designs for Nokia, Hitachi, Sony Semiconductor, was a voting member of the IEEE802.11Working Group and led a research team on a novel CMOS amplifier design that resulted in 5 US Patent awards. He returned to Adelaide in 2005 and has worked in a variety of managerial and RF design consulting roles for DSpace, Auspace, Cohda Wireless, Inovor, and Solinnov prior to joining LMA in 2015.
Jeffrey has a PhD, MEng(Electronic) and BEng(Hons)(Electronic) degrees from UniSA, and has attained the CPEng NER (ITEE, Leadership ) from Engineers Australia, and a GAICD from the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
