About me
Welcome to my home page. I have been employed at UniSA since 1998. I am a Lecturer, the Lead Academic Integrity Officer and Teaching Squares Facilitator in UniSA STEM.
I have designed, developed, coordinated and taught a number of courses across two Academic Units within the University, in various modes, at the undergraduate and postgraduate level, and across numerous local and international institutions. I have significant experience in teaching large first year courses where I manage a team of staff and provide leadership and direction to the team in order to deliver a consistent, quality, engaging and transformative learning experience to students.
I am passionate about developing supportive and inclusive learning environments and supporting students in their first year or transition to UniSA, at both the undergraduate and postgraduate level. I was the inaugural course coordinator to embed Aboriginal Content in Undergraduate Programs (ACUP) for first year IT students through collaboratively working with several colleagues. This program has since been embedded into a number of courses and programs across the University and has achieved several awards at the local and national level.
I believe in creating and fostering a positive student learning culture and I was one of the inaugural course coordinators to work with staff and past high achieving students to pilot and implement the Peer Assisted Study Program (PASS) in first year courses in the School of Information Technology and Mathematical Sciences. This internationally recognised program has subsequently been extended to support students across multiple STEM Programs.
