About me

Ms Louise McGee

I work in the Horizon Hospital and Health Service within the School of Nursing and Midwifery, where we emulate the clinical hospital environment. My role is to facilitate smooth day to day running of these labs, with a particular focus on the technical aspects, and to assist the HHHS team that crosses three campuses - Whyalla, Mount Gambier and City East in Adelaide. I coordinate and am responsible for a large and varied amount of equipment, manikins and task trainers within the units. We use simulation to make the process as realistic as possible and do this through an Inquiry Based Process and a Clinician led model. I have been involved with the University since 1994 and before that, as a student of the University and its... Read more

I have been involved with the University since 1994 and before that, as a student of the University and its predecessor, SAIT. My other clinical expertise has been in Ears, Nose and Throat nursing, and venepuncture and pathology laboratories where I worked as a Registered Nurse for Clinpath Laboratories for over 17 years (concurrently with Uni).  I have been involved with many clinical trials
