I am a post-doctoral researcher at the Centre for Cancer Biology (an alliance of the University of South Australia and SA Pathology) in Adelaide in the Tumour Microenvironment laboratory with A/Prof Michael Samuel. My current research focuses include skin cancer and cutaneous wound healing. In particular I am interested in identifying the role of mast cells in the tumour microenvironment and their contribution to the initiation of skin carcinogenesis.
My PhD investigated the transcriptional regulation of a family of microRNA genes during epithelial to mesencymal transition with Prof Gregory Goodall and Dr Philip Gregory.
