Dr Ruchira Ranaweera is a Research Associate working with the Mass Spectrometry and Proteomics group at UniSA. As an analytical chemist, she is invloving in method development and optimisation of PFAS in plasma with LC/MS, and seaweed analysis with GC/MS and ICP/MS.
Dr Ranaweera completed a PhD in 2022 at the University of Adelaide, on wine chemistry. Her PhD project focused on the authentication of Australian red wines using fluorescence spectroscopy and machine learning classification, proved to be highly promising for this purpose and academic outcomes of the PhD have been recognised via a number of prestigious awards, including the doctoral research medal.
