About me
A clinician and clinical pharmacist by background, I hold a Masters in Clinical Pharmacy (UQ) and am currently undertaking my PhD with UniSA. I am an experienced researcher in the healthcare setting, with interests in pharmacy practice research and improving the quality of patient care. As an industry researcher I have led research focused on opioids and pain management, delirium and anticoagulation. I also have a keen interest in collaborative practices, from collaborative prescribing through to collaborative learning, working with other professions to improve patient outcomes and learner development.
More recently I have been focusing on digital technologies that can improve quality and efficiency of practice and the integration of machine learning. Currently my role is divided between leading research in SA Health, and supporting experiential learning across the university and industry settings. I am currently working on two MRFF funded research projects collaborating with Flinders University, the University of Adelaide and The Australian Institute of Machine learning. I was the 2021 Society of Hospital Pharmacy of Australia recipient of The Australian Clinical Pharmacy Award for my contributions to clinical practice and pharmacist prescribing research.
I currently co-supervise several PhD and MPhil candidates, and support research projects for students across any healthcare profession or university.
