About me
My introduction to tertiary studies was as a Nursing student, later focusing on Education then teaching adults returning to study. Subsequently, my career as a teacher of Secondary Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics, Science and Psychology incorporated experiences in Australia, the United Kingdom and China. I currently tutor courses in primary mathematics, science, digital literacies, reflexive practice for Master’s students and supervise primary and secondary pre-service teachers. With a keen interest in educational psychology, and significant funding grants, I engaged with action research projects centred on student interest to maximise engagement with STEM learning. As a regular workshop facilitator, I have explored transformative pedagogical practices with like-minded educators in the Asia-Pacific region. My research interests include a focus on how the incorporation of digital technologies via STEM may improve capacity for effective differentiation to empower all student learners.
