I've worked in Libraries since 1987 starting as a volunteer library assistant and working my way up to librarian. During this time I taught cataloging to librarianship students for five years.
I believe to be happy in your profession you must expand your skill sets and try different roles. As a result I am always eager to get involved in new projects and to train new library staff. Nothing keeps you as up to date as having inquiring minds challenge your decisions and views, and having to think outside the box on completing new projects.
