Ms Sian Burgess

Sian is a highly experienced clinical psychologist and leader. She has over 15 years practice, teaching, and leadership experience spanning government, non-government and private sectors. Her primary field of interest is child protection and trauma - informed practice, with expert focus on supporting children and young people who engage in harmful sexual behaviours and individuals who have experienced complex developmental trauma.

Sian is skilled in medico legal and forensic assessment and acts as a Single Expert Witness for the Family Court of Western Australia. She specialises in family evaluations, parenting capacity assessment and criminal injuries compensation.

Sian is actively involved in professional training and community education. She has presented locally and nationally on issues related to the impact of abuse and trauma on child development and behavior, responding to risk, and the assessment and treatment harmful sexual behavior in children and young people. Sian is an AHPRA approved clinical supervisor and is passionate about contributing to the field of psychology and supporting early career psychologists. She is a sought after supervisor, lecturer and clinical consultant.
