Sophia is an RN and an HDR student for her master's degree at the UniSA. She has more than 20 years of nursing experience in pediatric and neonatal care in Australia and China. Sophia is passionate about neonatal neurodevelopmental care. From 2017 to 2018, she promoted neonatal neurodevelopmental care at the NICU of Henan Provincial People's Hospital in China and initiated Kangaroo Care in this unit. In 2019, she presented the study results, titled "Implementation of Kangaroo Care in a neonatal unit in China: a feasibility study," at the international conference (COINN).
