As a student counsellor, Sultana aims to create a safe and neuroaffirming environment for all to feel valued and supported. Sultana supports students in navigating everyday life and study challenges, including fostering a sense of community and belonging, managing emotions, adapting to cultural changes, dealing with stress, coping with loss and grief, parenting and relationship issues.
Sultana is fluent in Bengali and has moderate understanding of Hindi and Urdu.
Sultana utilises a range of evidence-based interventions tailored to individual needs, such us Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Solution Focused Therapy (SFT) and Narrative Therapy to help individuals gain a sense of control over life.
Sultana loves walking in nature, spending time in the garden and learning Somatic therapy.
Sultana works on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday at City West Campus (Note: Currently City East until mid-December 2024).
