Tara is a Registered Nurse with a clinical background in critical care, acute care, aged care nursing and clinical facilitation of nursing students. Tara has a passion for aged care and is currently working in this area. Based at UniSA's Mount Gambier Campus, she teaches and coordinates courses in the Bachelor of Nursing within the Clinical and Health Sciences Academic Unit. Tara's research interests relate to Mental Health and she is a member of the UniSA Mental Health and Suicide Prevention Research Education Group.

Tara coordinates courses in the Bachelor of Nursing Program and previously in the UniSA Online: Bachelor of Community Health. Her teaching interests include mental health, acute care, aged care and nursing within a rural/regional context. Using an inquiry based learning framework Tara strives to promote active student engagement and quality evidence based learning experiences. A key highlight is providing professional development for clinical facilitators to enhance the clinical learning environment.
