About me
My program of research addresses three interlinked areas: quality use of medicines, ageing and aged care, and dementia care. I am a Research Fellow at the Registry of Senior Australians (ROSA), South Australia Health and medical Research Institute (SAHMRI) and an adjunct Research Fellow at the University of South Australia (UniSA). I received my PhD in Pharmacy from UniSA, followed by a Geriatric Pharmacotherapy Postdoctoral Research Fellowship at the Plein Centre for Geriatric Pharmacy Research, University of Washington, USA. My technical expertise includes applying complex and advance statistical models to analyse large population-based datasets, including national aged care datasets, Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme (PBS), Medicare Benefits Schedule (MBS), and state-based hospitalisation datasets. In my current role at ROSA/SAHMRI, I led work on aged care and pharmacoepidemiology, focusing on measurement and evaluation of quality and safety of care in the aged care setting. This includes developing risk profiling tools for quality and safety outcomes.
