Toni Slotnes- O'Brien is a Senior Lecturer at the University of South Australia Clinical and Health Sciences. Toni completed her nursing degree at the University of South Australia in 1993 and went on to pursue a Grad. certificate in Diabetes management in 2008 and a Master of Nurse Practitioner in 2013.

Toni is passionate about the Nurse Practitioner role. She held the position of SA state chapter chair Australian College of Nurse Practitioners (ACNP) for a number of years and remains a commitee member. She is Co- Chair of the International Council of Nurses (ICN) NP education subgroup. Toni is also on the NP committee of the Australian Nursing and Membership Committee Council (ANMAC) and is a member of the Australian NP academics collaborative (ANPAC).
