About me
I am a dedicated and seasoned Tertiary Education Manager with a rich history of fostering robust teams and cultivating positive workplace cultures. With a strong foundation in management, training, and analytical analysis, I bring a wealth of experience to education leadership.
Armed with Bachelor's degrees in Administrative Management and Human Resource Management, as well as a Graduate Certificate in Management from the University of South Australia, I am strongly committed to continuous learning and professional development.
As General Manager of the UniSA Allied Health & Human Performance Academic Unit, I drive the delivery of services and operational support for programs and research activities. This entails not only managing workplace health and safety compliance and risk management but also setting student load forecasts, spearheading strategic development projects, and overseeing improvement initiatives. I work with the Academic Unit Executive Team on crafting and executing annual business and marketing plans for the Academic Unit and take the lead in facilities planning and management.
In the capacity of primary contact for central administrative units, I provide essential leadership, management, and mentorship to professional staff in diverse areas, including executive support, academic services, program services, technical services, and clinical placement services.
I hold a core belief that places people at the heart of any successful organisation. In my view, people are the greatest asset, and extracting the best from each individual involves understanding what motivates and excites them. This philosophy underscores my approach to leadership – an approach centred on creating a supportive and valued workplace. At the core of this leadership philosophy is the principle of putting people first. I recognise that an organisation's success is intricately tied to the well-being and motivation of its members. By prioritizing the needs and aspirations of individuals within the Academic Unit, I always focus on creating and fostering a collaborative and vibrant environment where everyone is empowered to contribute meaningfully.
In my journey as a Tertiary Education Manager, I have accomplished a number of professional achievements as well as leaving an indelible mark on the teams I have led. Through my strategic vision, commitment to continuous improvement, and unwavering dedication to people-focused leadership, I believes that success in the field of leadership and management is inspiring those around me to reach new heights of excellence.
