Elio Arruzza is a Lecturer and Research Academic in Medical Radiation Science, and the Stream Coordinator in Medical Imaging.
Elio's area of interest is improving health outcomes for patients through use of medical imaging, and advancing medical imaging education. He is particularly interested in developing and evaluating the feasibility of diagnostic imaging protocols, and how health professionals use artificial intelligence (AI) in clinical practice.
Elio has worked clinically as a Radiographer/Medical Imaging Technologist for Jones Radiology. His clinical experience has spanned across radiology departments at variety of sites across South Australia.

Elio is currently undertaking a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD), researching the long-lasting health effects of methamphetamine use on health. Elio's Master of Research (Health Sciences) focused on the diagnostic accuracy of CT and ultrasound for the diagnosis of acute appendicitis.
