About me

My aim is to contribute to a well-rounded vision for a more sustainable, desirable and equitable world. To this end, my research involves the study of big-picture sustainability problems such as the limits to the planet’s energy supplies, climate change and economic growth. I also examine the technical and socioeconomic aspects of solutions to some of these problems, from the global scale (e.g. assessing the world's renewable energy potential and ecological footprint) down to the local scale (e.g. growing food in urban gardens). I am a founding member of the Wellbeing Economy Alliance (WE-All).
