Mr Jeff Kasparian

Jeff work at UniSA from 1989 to 2014.  He had various roles within the Institute for Telecommunications Research (ITR) and its predecessor, the Digital Communications Group.  His career at UniSA started as a Research Engineer, undertaking development work on industry-led projects - primarily in the area of satellite communications, and particularly involving the simulation and implemetation of digital signal processing algorithms in programmable digital devices.  As his career progressed, Jeff took on more project and program management roles.  He was then appointed as Operations Manager (responsible for all operational aspects of the organisations, including HR, Finance, Project and Contract Management).  His role further expanded to Business Manager at ITR, responsible for operational matters as well as industry engagement and business development.  His final year at UniSA was as Director of ITR, leading a significant change management process within the organisation.  He has really enjoyed the opportunity to contribute to large national and international work programs involving industry.

Since 2015 he has been working within his own company, mainly on roles assisting in large program development, highlighted by significant roles within Cooperative Research Centres - most notably iMOVE CRC and SmartSat CRC.

Jeff remains his formal connection as an Industry Adjunct with UniSA, and takes ongoing and active interest in its activities.

He maintains a strong connection to the Space Industry Association of Australia, having had various roles on the Board and Executive Advisory Committee.  He is an avid amateur cyclist and can be found riding in and around the beaches and hills of Adelaide.
