Mrs Karla Gotting

I have extensive experience in senior leadership and management roles with over 25 years in education, including 14 years in the Australian Higher Education sector. 

As the senior operational leader in UniSA: STEM, I lead the effective delivery of services and support to programs and research activities. I have responsibility for all professional staff in the academic unit including program services, industry experience, technical services and executive services teams. 

I have responsbility for the implementation of business plans in order to deliver on strategic goals for the unit and have accountability for strategic, commercial, budgetary and governance service support. 

As General Manager, I manage and set the student load forecasts and targets, have the lead role in developing and implementing student growth plans and lead the development of strategic improvement projects.  In addition, my portfolio leads the professional and industry accreditation of our programs and the planning and management of facilities of the unit in support of its operations.

I have demonstrated success in developing strategies and leading operational activities to support multi-disciplinary units and have proven leadership capability including changing culture and building cohesive high-performing teams.  I am passionate about the development and implementation of continuous business improvement initiatives to deliver high quality business services and outstanding customer service.  I am a student focussed professional with a passion to deliver a quality student experience.
