Welcome to Mads Gaardboe's homepage. I joined UniSA in 2004 as Head of the Louis Laybourne Smith School of Architecture and Design, which is located on UniSA's City West Campus in the new Kaurna Building. Prior to this position I was Professor and Head of Department of Architecture, and Associate Director of Liverpool School of Art at John Moore's University in the U.K.
I was also a Subject Specialist with the British Quality Assessment Agency and External Examiner at the University of Central England, Birmingham, and Leeds Metropolitan University. My research has focussed on urban design related to the history of new towns and campus design. The design and architecture of tourist developments and hotels is a second area of focus.
