· Enhancing the awareness and impact of nursing, midwifery, and carers in research, policy, and practice.
Micah is recognised internationally as a leading expert in evidence synthesis methodology. He is actively involved in developing and updating evidence synthesis guidelines for scoping reviews and rapid reviews.
Micah is a respected policy adviser and researcher who has influenced local, national, and international clinical practice and workforce guidelines as well as Commonwealth Government legislation and policy in aged care, nursing workforce, and infection prevention and control for COVID-19.
Micah is passionate about collaborating with multidisciplinary researchers and clinicians to improve outcomes, experiences, and operations across the gamut of healthcare. Micah’s current research and supervision interests include:

On behalf of the ANMF, Micah has led and contributed to submissions to the Royal Commission into Aged Care Quality and Safety, the Senate Select Committee Inquiry into COVID-19, and the Productivity Commission's Mental Health Inquiry. Micah's work has been influential in the Federal Government's 2022 election commitments for aged care reform, national aged care workforce policy and legislation, establishment of the ANMF’s National Nursing and Midwifery Health Service, and planning regarding the establishment of the Australian Centre for Disease Control.

About The Rosemary Bryant AO Research Centre
The Rosemary Bryant AO Research Centre is a partnership between the University of South Australia and the Rosemary Bryant Foundation. The Centre aims to strengthen the nursing and midwifery workforce across the health and aged care system through the support and development of evidence-based healthcare.
The Centre has a comprehensive research program focused on advancing nursing and midwifery clinical practice and education, patient care and outcomes, population and public health, workforce reform, and safety and quality. The Centre’s objective is to enhance; innovative partnerships for healthcare research; inform strategies for extending the capacity and capabilities of nurses and midwives to build a resilient, sustainable, and collaborative workforce; health system planning, evaluation and resourcing; clinical care outcomes, and; translation of evidence into practice.
