Dr Nadia Selim is an Adjunct Lecturer in Education Futures at the University of South Australia (UniSA) and an affiliate member of the Centre for Educational and Social Inclusion. Nadia recently worked on two important research projects with researchers at UniSA.

About me
Dr Nadia Selim is an Adjunct Lecturer in Education Futures at the University of South Australia (UniSA) and an affiliate member of the Centre for Educational and Social Inclusion. Nadia recently worked on two important research projects with researchers at UniSA.

Nadia also assisted with a project that explored play in early adolescence during the transition from primary to secondary school (https://www.playresearch.com.au/).
Nadia’s research interests lie in language pedagogy, language learning motivation, and student experiences with a focus on Arabic language learning and instruction. Nadia’s lecturing expertise includes Arabic language and cultural studies subjects. Nadia also supervises honours and PhD candidates.
Nadia has conducted professional development sessions for teachers and cultural awareness sessions for staff at different organisations in her outreach and community engagement activities.

Nadia's research is currently focused on the motivation and engagement of non-Arab adolescents in the learning of Arabic at Australian Islamic Schools.
