Dr Nick Fewster-Young is an active researcher in the field of Dynamical Systems, in particular investigating real world applications in terms of mathematical formulations and providing understanding and the validity of the models in terms of qualitative and quantitative results. Real world applications in the fields of quantum physics, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, chemical engineering and cancer research. About me
Dr Nick Fewster-Young is an active researcher in the field of Dynamical Systems, in particular investigating real world applications in terms of mathematical formulations and providing understanding and the validity of the models in terms of qualitative and quantitative results. Real world applications in the fields of quantum physics, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, chemical engineering and cancer research. He is a Lecturer in Mathematics at University of South Australia since 2016 and completed his PhD at University of New South Wales in 2014. Currently, he has published several publications in high profiled international journals in the field of Dynamical Systems, and Statistics relating to Eduational Studies. He has been awarded Vice-Chancellor's Award in Teaching & Learning Excellence and been awarded in excellence through Teaching & Learning and UniSA grant in Education in 2016.
My current research is split into two avenues: Qualitative understanding of Singular and Nonlinear Dynamical Systems with focus on fractional difference and continuous systems; and Learning & Teaching research of a quantitative nature which connects the teacher, data and the (individual) student.
