I am a senior lecturer & general stream lead in the medical sonography program, with an academic background in medicine and radiology. I contribute my clinical and education expertise to three degree programs in sonography and other interdisciplinary modules at UniSA. My focus is to foster life long learning practices in students. My innovative online teaching practices on authentic assessments and higher order thinking have gained local, national and global recognition, including the AAUT citation for outstanding contribution to student learning from Universities Australia and the Online Learning Consortium's (USA) "Innovation in online learning to support student learning". Highlights

Supporting student learning in multiple year levels and across three program streams.
I enjoy interacting with students from various other disciplines in my role as an invited educator for specialised interdisciplinary modules across midwifery, pharmacy, podiatry and physiotherapy (pelvic organ prolapse).
I grow from collaborating with like-minded peers from both within and external to the University.
Invited by the UniSA TIU as keynote inaugural speaker in the breakfast series, April 2022, to launch the Authentic Assessment Project (Academic Enterprise Plan, action 2.2, 2021-25) for a university-wide (including international) audience.
Solo Australian higher education academic in the global online task force committee of the International Society for Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynecology (ISUOG). In this role, I contribute to curriculum innovation alongside a global expert panel to create learning modules for improving women’s health to sonography members across 80 countries, including sonologists, radiologists, obstetricians and gynaecologists.
Invited advisor for the World Health Organization Antenatal CorTicosteroids for Improving Outcomes in preterm Newborns (ACTION-I to III) Trial: educating obstetric teams in accurate estimation of gestational age with ultrasound to prevent preterm birth.
