Lessons From the Field: A practical guide to making research and practice more inclusive (1 hour seminar for the University of South Australia's research centres).
Drawing on research experience in the fields of critical psychology, grief and trauma, and queer theory, Alice presents a range of opportunities for researchers can support the inclusion of LGBTIQA+ communities. Acting as a tool kit, this presentation aims to provide both methodological considerations, and applied tools and strategies to help develop a more inclusive approach to university research and practice. While intended to be inclusive, this presentation acknowledges that people with diverse bodies, genders and sexualities have a broad range of experiences, and that language in this field is contested and changing. The presentation recognises these limitations and discusses directions for researchers and educators as part of the presentation.
