Dr Amanda Hutchinson is a clinical psychologist with roles in both teaching and research at UniSA. Amanda is dedicated to improving the quality of life of cancer survivors and reducing the psychosocial burden of cancer. She also uses her training in clinical psychology to support students to reach their full potential while maintaining physical and mental health.

About me
Dr Amanda Hutchinson is a clinical psychologist with roles in both teaching and research at UniSA. Amanda is dedicated to improving the quality of life of cancer survivors and reducing the psychosocial burden of cancer. She also uses her training in clinical psychology to support students to reach their full potential while maintaining physical and mental health.
Amanda is the Professorial Lead: Research Education in Justice & Society at UniSA and Deputy Director of UniSA’s Behaviour-Brain-Body Research Centre. She is a member of the Psycho-oncology Co-operative Research Group’s (PoCoG) Scientific Advisory Committee, the Australian and New Zealand Urogenital and Prostate Cancer Trials Group and a member of the University’s Human Research Ethics Committee.
Amanda is committed to the scientist-practitioner model and the intersection of research and practice in higher education. She recently received UniSA's Mid-career Researcher Award for 2021.
