I am a Research Associate Alliance in the Research in Exercise, Nutrition and Activity (ARENA) at the University of South Australia.
I am an experienced primary school teacher and hold a Masters in Public Health from the University of Adelaide and a PhD in Phyiscal Activity and Nutrition from Deakin University. My PhD focussed on how participation in phyiscal activity affects children's academic outcomes. I am currently project manager for a large scale NHMRC project focused on how children’s daily activity patterns (eg watching television and playing sport) and diet differ between in-school and summer holiday periods and how these differences may affect their health and fitness.
