About me
Amanpreet Kaur is an accounting educator and teaches undergraduate and postgraduate classes in both on-campus and online modes. She has taught a range of accounting courses including Advanced Accounting, Financial Accounting 3, Accounting Principles for Business Decisions, Strategic Financial Analysis, Sustainability Accounting and Reporting, and Contemporary Issues in Accounting. She has previously worked at the University of Adelaide, IIBIT-Adelaide (Federation University,) S.G.H.R.S. College for Women (Panjab University, India) and Guru Nanak College (Guru Nanak Dev University, India).
Her teaching approach focuses on fostering a collaborative and practice-informed learning environment. She strongly believes in a student-centric learning environment in which students are empowered within the learning process. Such a learning environment not only enables the students to understand theoretical aspects of a course but also to apply and demonstrate their understanding in practical situations.
Amanpreet holds a PhD in Accounting (University of South Australia), Master of Accounting (Guru Nanak Dev University, India) and Bachelor of Commerce (Guru Nanak Dev University, India). Her research interest includes sustainability accounting and reporting, integrated reporting, stakeholder engagement and corporate social responsibility. She is a CA, a member of the Centre for Markets, Values & Inclusion and Accounting (CMVI) and the Association of Australia and New Zealand (AFAANZ). She sits on the Accounting Forum journal's editorial board and is an Associate Editor of the Journal of Public Budgeting, Accounting & Financial Management.
