About me
At the end of 2022, Amy returned to Adelaide after two years in Switzerland where she co-lead a digital health start-up in Basel, established several partnerships with national health care providers, and delivered seminars to entrepreneurs in collaboration with Innosuisse and the Innovation Office at the University of Basel. Prior, she worked in research strategy at a the Global Centre for Modern Ageing, a South Australian start-up working across industries to enable new business opportunities in response to the ageing demographic.
Before moving into industry, Amy studied and worked at the University of South Australia for 11 years – including a Bachelor of Psychology (Honours), a Masters of Business (research), and a PhD in consumer behaviour & health marketing. During this time Amy became passionate about bridging the gap between disciplines and connecting across sectors. She contributed to various multidisciplinary research projects and co-developed and delivered a new undergraduate course for the uni – Marketing for Health and Wellbeing. Amy also generated income for the university leading multiple industry engagement projects through the Ehrenberg-Bass Institute, including local and international clients in health, finance, technology and retail industries.
In 2023, Amy returned to UniSA and join the Enterprise Partnerships Unit. With her industry experience and networks to support the Enterprise Hub in achieving their vision of facilitating meaningful strategic partnerships between academics and industry, to drive new innovation and commercialisation.
