Dr Andrew Welch teaches in the Bachelor of Contemporary Art and Bachelor of Art and Design (Honours). In 2010 he completed a Doctor of Philosophy at The Australian National University and his thesis topic ‘Contemporary Processes And Historical Precedents For Handmade Crafts Practice In The Context Of Technological Change’ reinvigorated his interest in the handmade approach to jewellery making.
