Mrs Asara Senaratne

I am a research enthusiast in the field of Data Science. I did my PhD in Computer Science at the Australian National University (ANU), and awaits conferral. I obtainedd my Masters in Business Administration from the Cardiff Metropolitan University, UK in 2016. I received my BSc.(Hons) in Computer Science from University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka in 2018, where I became the batch top. I'm also a professional member of the British Computer Society (BCS) since 2013, and a fellow of the Higher Education Academy since 2021.

I have my research interests spreaded across many branches of Data Science. I'm specifically interested in human knowledge extraction, storage and visualization. I also specialize in anomaly detection in graphs, including the semantic web. I have worked as a Software Engineer and have 3 years of experience in the industry. I also own 10 years of experience working as a lecturer in Computer Science.
