I am a registered midwife and nurse with 10 years’ experience teaching undergraduate midwifery students at UniSA and have been a midwife since the year 2000. I have worked in the clinical setting for 16 years. I completed a PhD in 2023 at UniSA and have research interests in women’s health, maternity care, health equity, the criminal justice system, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health and parenting education. I have worked in Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney, London and Edith Cowan University in Perth. I have experience teaching midwifery in a tertiary clinical setting, simulation, calmbirth, conducting clinical research trials, participatory and qualitative research.
