  • In 2017, I graduated with a PhD in the area of environmental science and engineering. More specifically, I have been trained on the clay-microbe synergy for the remediation of contaminants in soil and wastewater,
  • I am experienced with mobility education & research in various countries including Khulna University (Bangladesh), Ghent University (Belgium), Max Planck Institute for Marine Microbiology (Germany), University of Oviedo (Spain) and the University of South Australia (Australia),
  • I have wide range of skills in soil and wastewater remediation using modified materials and microbes including clays, nanoclays, biochar, microbial inocula,
  • I have excellent expertise in material synthesis and characterisation including co-precipitation/hydrothermal synthesis of nanomaterials, operation of TEM/SEM/XPS/XRD/FTIR for wide range of materials,
  • My current research interest/responsibility with (i) developing cost-effective natural composite nanomaterials for various environmental applications, (ii) chemical pollution in environment, (iii) microbial health in soil and water, (iv) supervision of HDR students.

  • Completion: One visiting PhD student at the University of Newcastle from Shiraz University, Iran (role: collaborative co-supervisor during the visiting period, Feb 2018-Feb, 2019). Area of research: Nanoclay-based composite for PFAS removal.
