As the manager of the Corporate Information Systems team, I am responsible for the delivery of business services that relate to the key areas of the business within the University.
My role requires me to:
- Lead and manage a team of skilled software developers, system administrators and integrators
- Liaise with key business units to gather requirements, design, develop, test and support required software applications for staff
- Assess emerging technologies and software for suitable use within the University environment
- Ensure systems meet specific accessibility and usability requirements
- Contribute to the planning and budgeting of key software services
- Provide input into strategic planning and governance structures
- Manage small to large projects
- Ensure monitoring and high availability of the University’s Corporate systems
- Manage relationships with external vendors as requiredTeam Responsibilities
The Corporate Information Systems team is responsible for the design, development and long-term support of the critical software and services that support the University’s corporate systems and business, including:
- Corporate website (www.unisa.edu.au) and other UniSA associated websites
- The Universities corporate search enabling staff, students, and the public to search University resources
- Digital Asset Management repository that provides staff with access to UniSA owned photos and videos
- Finance Applications that enable the University to receive, track and pay invoices, wages and take other payments
- Business process management (Appian) solution that assists the University processes through online forms and workflows, with integrations to various applications
- Business Intelligence reporting and analytics providing the University the ability to report and plan on key strategic areas.
- Human Resources Solution for storing, accessing, and processing information about employees
- Staff Lifecycle system to create and remove UniSA staff account and group access
- Occupation Health and Safety solution providing ability to raise and track WHS risks, issues and incidents
- Building Access solution to manage the access to areas within the University campuses
- Legal document management repository solution
- Staff Portal a system that provides personal information, integrated data and links to staff systems
- Other systems that support the business units at UniSA
