A physicist, lectures predominately in the BSc and BEng programs. Academic coordinator for Physics streams (majors & minors) in the BSc, BSc(Advanced Materials) and BScBEd (Secondary Science Teaching) programs. Highlights

The Surface Spectroscopy and Dynamics Laboratory (SSD Lab) is a member of OMEGA, a multidisciplinary group focussed on Optical, Materials and Engineering projects.,The SSD Lab is focussed on surface studies of materials using such techniques as Laser Ablation and Secondary Ion Mass Spectrometry. The Lab's facilities include pulsed lasers, Scanning Auger microscope, coating facilities, optical fibres/sources and spectrometers. Spectroscopic studies of excited state molecular dynamics in the gas phase is on-going.,Current active research projects are involved with the use of optical materials to enhance the efficiency of solar cells, micron scale laser welding for micro-electronics and the production of metal nano-spheres using laser...
