Candace completed her Ph.D. with the thesis entitled "Novel functionalized mesoporous silica nanoparticles as targeted delivery systems to estrogen receptor-overexpressing breast cancer". Her value proposition is having experience with multidisciplinary research, including material sciences, synthetic chemistry (functionalised nanomedicines) and pharmaceutical formulation. Candace was also a demonstrator and a teaching assistant in undergraduate courses, including Drug Development and Dosage Form Design 4. She now continues teaching in addition to conducting research.
