About me
Hello!
I’m an Australian-Brazilian occupational therapy (OT) lecturer with a passion for family-centredness, research implementation and knowledge translation. I hold a Master of Research in Health Sciences from UniSA and have completed certified training in parent education. Currently, I coordinate the 'Participatory Community Practice (PCP): Planning' course, deliver 'Lifespan' workshops for undergraduate OT students, and tutor master’s OT students in the PCP GE implementation course. I’m also involved in supervising honours students across varied disciplines at the Allied Health & Human Performance Unit.
Throughout my career, I’ve been dedicated to promoting best practice in occupational therapy, especially in supporting children with disabilities and developmental delays and their families. My clinical experience spans home-based interventions, clinics, hospitals and community environments. At the moment, I’m deeply involved in research and teaching, as well as providing professional supervision.
Outside of my professional life, I love spending time in nature, sharing laughs with friends, travelling and exploring different cultures. I believe these experiences enrich my life and bring a unique perspective to my work.
I’m extremely happy to be part of UniSA and to have the opportunity to be part of the learning journey with future allied health professionals.
