I am an environmental scientist in the Future Industries Institute. My research is focused on improving soil fertility, and using biofortification to increase the nutritional quality of grain crops.
As well as a strong interest in agricultural science, I also have a background in environmental contamination and the environmental risk assessment of contaminants. Before I started working for UniSA, I worked for the Australian Government Department of the Environment, where my main role was to assess the potential risks of industrial chemicals to the Australian Environment – chemicals that are used in everything from fertilisers and mining operations, to cosmetics and textiles.

About me
I am an environmental scientist in the Future Industries Institute.
Prior to this, my research was focused on understanding the fate of manufactured nanoparticles in the environment. In particular, their behaviour in wastewater treatment plants and soil, their effects on soil microbes, and their uptake by plants.
