Dr Chen Zhan is a research associate and a data scientist at the Centre for Change and Complexity in Learning (C3L) at the University of South Australia. About me
Dr Chen Zhan is a research associate and a data scientist at the Centre for Change and Complexity in Learning (C3L) at the University of South Australia. He obtained his master degree in software engineering from the University of Science and Technology of China in 2016 and completed his PhD in computer and information science from the University of South Australia in 2020. Also, he had an internship in the Data Analytics Group (DAG) at the University of South Australia as a full stack developer and a research assistant from 2014 to 2015. His research interests focus on data mining and its application in various disciplines, including environmental science, economics, bioinformatics and pharmacoepidemiology. In particular, he had research experience in developing computational methods for detecting signals of adverse drug events from healthcare data. More recently, he joined the C3L to contribute to the research in the development of products and services of privacy-preserving analytics for the education technology industry.
