Dr Courtney Regan is an agricultural and resource economist and is currently a post-doctoral research fellow at UniSA Business and is a member of the Centre for Markets Values and Inclusion.
Courtney's research is concerned with land use sustainability and options for building a financially viable future for primary producers faced with changing climate, new markets for ecosystems services and rapidly evolving technologies. Courtney's research largely examines the economics of land-use and land-use change in agricultural landscapes with a focus on tree crops for biomass production and carbon sequestration, while accounting for the effect multiple interacting risks and uncertainties have on economic decisions. About me
Dr Courtney Regan is an agricultural and resource economist and is currently a post-doctoral research fellow at UniSA Business and is a member of the Centre for Markets Values and Inclusion.
More recently, Courtney has been working with the commercial forestry industry in the Green Triangle region on a range of projects examining optimal economic actions under a range of resource constraints in that industry such as water and the availability of land for plantation expansion.
Courtney has completed projects for national and international organisations including The Goyder Institue, The Pew Charitable Trust and the European Union. He is currently working on projects funded by the National Institute for Forest Products Innovation (NIFPI) and the Green Triangle Forest Industry Hub examining the economics of forest biosecurity surveillance systems for exotic forest pests detection and opportunities for the commercial forestry sector to participate in the Emissions Reduction Fund.
