She has a Master of Human Resources and Law from the University of Newcastle and a Graduate Certificate in Higher Education. She most recently completed a Master of Philosophy at Queensland University of Technology with her thesis: Mind the (legal) gap: Regulating AI-enabled Worker Surveillance in Australia.
In her professional career, Danae worked in both managerial and advisory roles. As Human Resource Manager she led the HR team and managed all aspects of HR for an organisation of approximately 120 employees across two states. She also worked for several years as a Workplace Relations Adviser, providing support and advice to business owners on all HR and employment law related matters.
Danae is passionate about online learning and enjoys sharing her academic and practical experience with students.
