Dr Daniel Gruszynski (DBA University of Newcastle, Australia; MBA Western Sydney University, Australia) moved from Germany to Hong Kong in 1996. Dr Daniel Gruszynski (DBA University of Newcastle, Australia; MBA Western Sydney University, Australia) moved from Germany to Hong Kong in 1996. Prior to his teaching, Daniel was General Manager of joint ventures or wholly owned companies in Asia for several large German multinational companies, where he was responsible for the planning of human resources and the management of human resources from different countries and cultures. In 2002, he ended an almost 25 year long career in senior international management positions with Siemens and started his own consulting company in Hong Kong. Daniel now has his own management services firm and a team of local experts in Hong Kong to handle a variety of challenges including new company start-up, crisis management, merger management, and internal process restructuring, financial controls, human resource management, logistics, and internal audits.
Daniel is frequently invited by universities to lecture courses about strategic management and international human resource management. He shares his rich experience from his many hands-on cases with students to illustrate the practical implications that derive from academic research. For more than a decade now, he has also supervised dissertations that relate to international human resource management or strategic topics.
