Mrs Darlene Archer has over 35 years experience in nursing working in a variety of settings and in a variety of roles. Her clinical areas of speciality include Emergency nursing, Paediatric nursing and Allergy nursing. Darlene has over 7 years' experience working in an academic setting involved in the education of both undergraduate and post graduate students.
Darlene has recently completed a Masters In Nursing Education (2021). Her research interests are around the use of non clinical skills in detecting a deterioration in adult patients and Reducing preoperative anxiety in paediatric surgical patients. Darlene has comenced her PhD around Pain assessment as a social transaction - exploring how currunt curriculum may enhance students' understaning for clinical practice.
Darlene is a member of College of Emergency Nursing and a member of Australian College of Nurses.
